Everything you need to know before your visit to Maison Noir

Reservations

We recommend booking at least 2–3 weeks in advance for weekday dining, and 4–6 weeks for Friday and Saturday evenings. For special occasions such as Valentine's Day, Christmas, or New Year's Eve, we advise booking several months ahead. Same-week availability occasionally exists — please call us directly to enquire.
We kindly request 48 hours' notice for any cancellations or amendments. For parties of 4 or more, a credit card is required to secure the reservation. Late cancellations or no-shows for larger parties may incur a cancellation fee of £25 per person. We understand that plans change — please contact us as early as possible and we will always do our best to accommodate.
We are happy to note seating preferences when you make your reservation — whether you prefer a window table, a more private corner, or a booth. Whilst we cannot guarantee specific tables, our team will do their utmost to accommodate your request. Please include your preference in the Additional Notes field when booking, or mention it when calling.
Due to the nature of fine dining and our commitment to the guest experience, Maison Noir operates primarily on a reservations basis. However, we do maintain a small number of bar seats and lounge tables available for walk-in guests on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend calling ahead on the day to check availability before making the journey.

Dining Experience

Absolutely. Our kitchen team is experienced in preparing dishes for guests with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, nut, shellfish, and other allergy requirements. Please inform us of any dietary needs when making your reservation and remind your server on arrival. We take all allergies extremely seriously and our chefs will always adapt dishes where possible.
A typical dinner at Maison Noir lasts between 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on the number of courses ordered and the pace you prefer. Our Grand Tasting Menu is a longer experience of approximately 3.5 to 4.5 hours. We never rush our guests — the evening is yours to savour at your own pace.
Yes — our Grand Tasting Menu is a seven-course seasonal journey curated by Chef Élise Moreau, available every evening. It may be enjoyed with or without a matched wine pairing selected by our Head Sommelier, Isabelle Cord. We also offer a shorter five-course Prestige Menu for those seeking a more concise experience. Tasting menus must be taken by the entire table.
We do not permit guests to bring their own wine (corkage is not offered), as we have an extensive cellar curated to complement our cuisine. However, we warmly welcome celebration cakes brought from outside — please inform us in advance so our team can arrange plating and presentation. A small plating fee may apply. Our patisserie team can also create a bespoke dessert if arranged ahead.
Yes — our menus evolve with the seasons, reflecting the finest produce available at any given time. We work directly with farms, foragers, and artisan suppliers across the UK and France. Major menu updates occur at the beginning of each season, with smaller adjustments made weekly as ingredients reach their peak. Guests who visit regularly will always encounter something new.

Practical Information

We request smart casual to formal attire. Jacket and tie are not obligatory, but we do ask that guests dress elegantly for the occasion. Sportswear, trainers, shorts, and ripped clothing are not permitted. We find that most guests naturally arrive dressed in a manner befitting the setting — if you are unsure, always err on the side of refinement.
Maison Noir is designed as an intimate fine dining experience and is best suited to guests aged 12 and above. We do not have a dedicated children's menu. Younger guests are of course welcome, and our kitchen can adapt dishes where appropriate — please let us know in advance. We ask that all guests, of any age, respect the quiet, refined atmosphere of the restaurant throughout the evening.
The nearest car park is NCP Mayfair on Grosvenor Square, approximately a 5-minute walk away. Valet parking is available Thursday through Saturday evenings — please speak with our front-of-house team upon arrival. We are also conveniently located 3 minutes' walk from Green Park Underground station, served by the Jubilee, Victoria, and Piccadilly lines.
Yes — Maison Noir is fully accessible at street level with step-free access throughout the dining room. We have accessible restroom facilities and our team are trained to assist guests with any mobility requirements. Please do inform us at the time of booking so we can ensure the most comfortable seating arrangement and experience for you.

Private Events

We offer three dedicated private dining spaces: The Salon (up to 12 guests), The Wine Room (up to 24 guests), and full exclusive restaurant buyout for up to 70 guests. Each space can be tailored with bespoke menus, curated wine flights, floral arrangements, and custom table settings. Our events team will guide you through every detail from enquiry to the final course.
Please reach out to our dedicated events team directly at events@maisonnoir.co.uk with details of your occasion, preferred date, number of guests, and any specific requirements.
